Hash Browns 4 Different Ways

Hash Browns!

Hello Friends,

I've decided to do hash browns four different ways to see which one I liked best.

The two keys to cripsy shredded hash browns are patience and fat. I cooked all of these the same way, 400 degrees with a 1/2 tablespoon of butter and two tablespoons of oil.

I mixed in the butter and oil until all the potatos were coated then I just let them be. I usually cook my hash browns for 10 to 15 minutes on the griddle.

A good way to tell if they are done is when the outside edges are cripsy and the whole hash brown stays together when you move it. Once they get to this point you can go ahead and flip them. You can cook the other side if you would like but you do not have to.

Overall I still think my favorite ones are the frozen hash browns. They all taste good but none of them are that much better than the frozen, and you can't beat how convienent they are. Each type has it's pros and cons though, and I go into more detail in the video below.

"My friend said to me, You know what I like? Mashed potatoes. I was like, Dude, you have to give me time to guess. If you're going to quiz me you have to insert a pause."

Cheers,
Johnny
