The Best Breakfast Potatos On A Griddle

Breakfast Potatos

Hello Friends,

I tested out 6 different breakfast potatos on the griddle ranging from fresh to canned potatos. To be honest, I haven't really met a breakfast potato that I don't like, especially once I cover them with hot sauce. But I do feel like some of the potatoes are better than others. I go over my favorite and least favorite below, but first a quick note from today's sponsor.

Not Great!

It's probably not a surprise but the canned potatos were not very good. Now if you are camping or tailgaiting I can understand using them because they are shelf stable. But if you are not doing those things, I probably would not buy them.

Underrated

The frozen redskin potatos are really good. They come preseasoned and precooked which makes them very convenient. I like to pull them out about 30 minutes before I cook to let them come to room temperature. They get a great crust on the outside but are still soft on the inside.

My Favorite

If you've been reading for a while then you know what's coming. I love the frozen tater tots on the griddle. I let them defrost or pop them in a microwave for a minute before putting them on. Then you add a decent amount of oil at 375-400 and just let them sit for 10 minutes. They're already seasoned and turn out fantastic. If you still haven't tried these on your griddle, now is the time.

Thanks for reading and remember the key to good potatoes on the griddle is a decent amount of oil and not touching them for about ten minutes.
