Griddle 101: Smash Burget Tip and Sales!
|
Hello Friends, No long video this week, just a short one above with some smash burger tips. I also want to talk about griddle sales right now, in case you’re thinking about upgrading. First, the tip. If you don’t have parchment paper to smash your burger down, you’ve got a couple of options. -You can use a coffee filter. -Or you can sear the ball for 30 seconds, flip it, and smash down on the seared side. Because you’ve seared it a bit first, it shouldn’t stick. This works with a smash burger press or with two spatulas. Now, about sales and end of season. I’m assuming everyone I email already has a griddle. But if you’re looking to upgrade, or you love yours so much you want to buy one as a gift, now is the time to look. Hardware stores, Tractor Supply, Walmart, and the rest are all switching over from summer to winter (Christmas stuff is already out 🙄), so they’re trying to get rid of what they have left. That can mean some great prices, especially on floor models taking up space. This applies to all griddles, not just Blackstone. My Walmart dropped their 4-burner Blackstone from $299 to $240. If you’re in the market and have some time to kill, this is a good time of year to drive to a few different stores and see what they’ll do for you. Even at a big box store, they may let you haggle. If it’s a floor model that’s been outside and has a little rust, I’ve heard of people getting even more taken off. Just a thought. Have a good one! Keep on griddling,
