Griddle 101: November Month in Review
Everything I Learned in November!Hello Friends, .November was a busy month but also a fun month. I hope you and your families had a great Thanksgiving and are ready for Christmas. Well, as ready as you can be I don't think I'm ever fully ready lol. Below is a quick review of everything I made on the griddle last month and what I learned. Bacon Fried CornI finally tried Todd Tovens bacon fried corn and it was delicious. I would highly reccomend giving it a try. The recipe is in one of my previous emails. FYI you can see all of my old emails here in case you want to go back and find a recipe or tip. Anyways the bacon fried corn was a great side, it would be fantastic with taco night and one email reader said he turned it into a dip! He ads cream cheese, sour cream and creamed corn then puts it in a crock pot. I am definetly going to try that and will make a video on it. Also I used cheetos in my video to put on top of the bacon fried corn because that's what a lot of people did. This was better than I thought it would be, but not as good as tortilla chips. The day after I made it I started eating it with tortilla chips and that was fantastic. Cowboy Stir FryThe Cowboy Stir Fry was great! I had never made it before but it is a very popular griddle recipe and I see why. Basically you start with potatoes, add whatever veggies you like, then cook up some steak and suasage. I am finishing up the video and recipe and I will have that in next weeks email. Until then, here is a link to the recipe from Blackstones website. My version of the recipe will be slightly different, but this is a good starting point if you can't wait to try it. Onion BurgerI already sent out an email about the onion burger, and if you've had a griddle for a while you've probably made one. This is just a reminder that it is simple, delicious and an American classic. So if you haven't made one for a while I would highly reccomend it. Also if you still try to go out and griddle through the winter this is a perfect recipe because it's so quick and easy. Get the recipe here. Steak and Egg BagelThe steak and egg bagel on Aunt Millies everything bagel was really good. Basically what I did is I made a cheese steak with and egg and put it on an everything bagel. I got the pre shaved beef from Meijer then used a potato peeler to get my onions really thin. I cooked the beef right on top of the onions at a low temperature of 325 degrees. I fried up an egg, toasted the bagel and topped it with some provolone cheese. I don't think this will make my top 101 recipes becasue it's too similar to other recipes I already have in the ebook, but it was still good and is worth trying next time you do breakfast sandwiches. check out the video here. AccessoriesI went back over my favorite accessories for the holiday/black friday weekend. It hasn't changed too much so if you've seen one of my other videos no need to watch. If you haven't seen my other videos or are just looking for a new toy to buy for your griddle, check out the video below.
