Griddle 101: My Favorite Accessories

My Favorite Accessories!

Hello Friends,

It's that time of year, we're breaking out the griddle again and maybe we need some new toys. Or maybe you just got your first griddle and you want to know what is actually necessary and what is not. Well I have a quick review below of my favorite things to use after 4.5 years of owning a residential griddle.

FYI all the links are affiliate so I do receive a small commision if you choose to buy. I just like to be upfront about that, but it does not raise the price or anything.

Also I say this a lot in videos but if you only get one accessory, after some spatulas the most important thing in my opinion is an infrared thermometer.

The Basics (You Probably Already Have Some of These)

  • Tongs, spatula, scraper, and a squirt bottle – Essentials. The Blackstone 6-piece kit ($30 at Walmart) is a solid deal.
  • Infrared thermometer – Game-changer. Griddle temp matters more than people think. I use a ThermoPro 2-in-1 (infrared + probe). There’s a 20% off link in the description.

Nice-to-Have Upgrades

  • Wire rack – Keeps food warm without overcooking. Great for bacon, buns, or resting a steak.
  • Dome – Melts cheese, steams veggies, and helps with omelets.
  • Burger press – Not essential, but makes pressing easier. Metal ones work best.

Fun Extras

That’s the rundown!

Congrats to all the new owners—keep on griddln'!
