Griddle 101: Easy Hibachi

Steak and Chicken Hibachi!

Hello friends,

I set out to make the easiest, beginner-friendly hibachi on the griddle that I could. I kept it simple with just chicken and steak—no shrimp this time—because I didn’t want to overload it with too many proteins. I also used Uncle Ben’s pre-cooked family-size jasmine rice and minimized the seasonings and sauces. In fact, I only used two sauces and two seasonings (if you count my salt and pepper blend as one).

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the pre-cooked rice turned out. Sure, it’s about three times the cost of uncooked rice, but it’s a great backup option if you’re in a pinch and didn’t have time to make rice the night before.

You can find the full recipe on my website, and the video is linked below. If you’ve never tried making hibachi or felt intimidated by it, I hope this gives you the motivation to fire up your griddle and give it a go!
